Stems 30-100 cm long, slender; internodes ca. 3 cm long.
Leaves distichous, linear to linear-ligulate, 20 cm long, 2 cm wide, rigidly coriaceous, apex unequally 2-lobed, base decurrent; sheaths 3 cm long, enclosing stem.
Racemes usually horizontal, with many well spaced flowers; peduncle 25-40 cm long, slender, ca. 2-3 mm in diam.; bracts ovate, 6-8 mm long; pedicel and ovary 15-20 mm long. Flowers waxy, long-lasting; sepals subequal, yellow, with or without brown spots, linear-oblanceolate or spatulate, 15-18 mm long, 3-4 mm wide, obtuse or acute; petals yellow or with brown margins and spots near base, oblanceolate, 12-14 mm long, 3 mm wide, acute; lip hinged at base of column, spurred, 3-lobed, lateral lobes basal, small, triangular to semiorbicular, midlobe oblong, 8 mm long, white or pale yellow, thick and fleshy, obtuse and thickened at apex, with 2 retrorse calli near base, spur from near middle of midlobe, saccate, 3-4 mm long, opening obstructed by calli; column 5 mm long; anther rhombic, 2.5 mm across; pollinia 0.8 mm in diam., stipe triangular-lanceolate, revolute; rostellum cleft.
Capsules fusiform, to 6 cm long.
